Public infrastructure and landscaping applications place extraordinary demands on timber. Constant foot traffic, UV exposure, salt air, wet-dry cycling and the need for long service life with minimal maintenance all point to the same requirement: the highest durability hardwoods available.

Garapa is our go-to species for premium decking applications — rated Durable with a Janka hardness of 7.4 kN and a density of 790 kg/m³, it is a hard, strong timber with high bending and crushing strength. Its lustrous honey-brown colour, fine texture and scratch resistance make it one of our most popular choices for residential and commercial decking. Kwila is our proven choice for boardwalks and heavy decking, with a long track record in NZ public spaces.

Large square sections are available up to 300x300mm ex stock for posts and structural members, with larger dimensions available on request.
